Apples in an air fryer that are good for you
I finally got an air fryer after years of talking about it.
I’ve been trying a lot of air fryer dishes to make up for missed time, and these quick caramelized cinnamon apples are my favorite.
When they come out of the air fryer, they are soft and crispy at the same time.
They taste like handmade apple pie filling, but even better!
Things you need to make air-fried apples

- 2 big apples (such as Braeburn, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Gala, Golden Delicious, Pink Lady, or Fuji)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Sweetener of your choosing (such as coconut sugar, pure maple syrup, brown sugar, honey, agave, regular white sugar, erythritol, xylitol, stevia, monk fruit blend, or your favorite sugar-free sweetener)
- Melted coconut oil or butter (optional)
- Small amount of salt (optional)
- Other fall spices like nutmeg, ginger, allspice, cardamom, or cloves (optional)
How to cook apples in an air fryer
- The first thing you need to do is get all of your materials together.
- Either grease the tray of your air fryer or line it with air fryer liners.
- If you want, peel the apples, then cut them into little squares and throw away the cores and seeds. You may also make air-fried apple chips by cutting the fruit into sticks or thin slices.
- In a big bowl, mix the chopped apples with the cinnamon, pure maple syrup or sweetener, and melted coconut oil or butter if you want to.

- Set the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit before you start cooking.
- Put the apples in a single layer on the tray that you have set up. You shouldn’t put too many apples in the pan at once so that they fry evenly. If your air fryer is small, you might have to cook in two batches.
- Set the timer for seven minutes and shake the machine to turn the apples so they cook equally on all sides.
- Cook for eight more minutes or until they are as crispy as you like them.
While the air fryer is on, make bagels with just two ingredients.
How to serve and store baked apples in an air fryer
You can eat the apples on top of your morning oats, or you can make your own healthy apple crumble by adding a simple brown sugar oatmeal streusel.
These are great toppings for Vegan Pancakes or Protein Waffles.
Use the recipe as a filling for handmade apple fritters or hand pies.
Lastly, I love putting cinnamon air-fried apples on top of coconut, vanilla, or banana ice cream.

If you have leftovers, put them in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to five days.
You may freeze this recipe, but the apples will be different when they thaw. So, I don’t think you should freeze them.

This tasty fruit snack is a fantastic source of fiber and vitamins C, K, and E because it has a lot of apples and cinnamon in it.

Apples with cinnamon that don’t need an air fryer
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit if you want to prepare baked cinnamon apples.
Spread the chopped apples out in a single layer on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, and then follow the air-fried apple recipe below.
Put the food on the center rack of the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Then, use a spatula to turn it.
Keep baking the pan for another ten to fifteen minutes, or until the apples are tender and caramelized to your preference.
If you have a convection oven, you can also bake for the same amount of time as you would in an air fryer. A fan moves air around in both convection ovens and air fryers as food cooks.
